Is white silence or silencing?

This sound installation emerges from her personal encounter with tinnitus in April 2021 during my stay in Switzerland. She often used white noise, like a waterfall’s sound, to drown out the ringing in her ears. The installation includes a looped recording of drain sounds heard during a solitary walk Meggenhorn Castle, played through headphones.
